A curious mind interested in how things come to be.
I'm Freda Efod—a computer science graduate, entrepreneur, creator and storyteller. I enjoy exploring ideas, building things, understanding technology and sharing what I learn along the way.
I'm in love with the art of creating, genuinely obsessed with it. That's what I enjoy doing, and it shows in the work—whether I am writing code, researching a market, analyzing data, or cutting a story together frame by frame.

Computer science & logic
My formal training is in Computer Science at Caleb University, where I graduated with First Class Honours (2022–2025). Studying computer science gave me a structured way to look at problems: breaking complex systems into smaller parts, testing assumptions with data, and understanding what happens beneath the surface.
During my degree, my curiosity led me into machine learning and healthcare research, culminating in my work on the Development of a Logistic Regression-Based Predictive Model for Coronary Artery Disease. At the same time, I was creating visual stories and editing videos for thousands of viewers online. Rather than choosing between technical rigor and creative expression, I realized they sharpen each other.
Building products & range
I became interested in entrepreneurship because technology only matters when it solves real problems for real people. As Co-founder and CMO of Valor AI, I work on an offline-first AI platform that helps farmers and agribusinesses assess produce quality using smartphone cameras—even in places where internet access is limited.
Across my career so far, I have intentionally stepped into environments that stretch different muscles: building Power BI dashboards and improving reporting workflows as a Data Analytics Intern at Wema Bank, leading customer and identity research at Velocity Concepts Solutions, growing member retention at Data Fellows, and blending creative video production with programme operations at The Tony Elumelu Foundation.
That range lets me translate between engineers, founders, analysts and audiences without losing the heart of the story.
How things come to be
If there is a single thread running through everything I do, it is a fascination with origins—how ideas start, how products are built, and how stories shape what people believe is possible. That curiosity inspired my storytelling explorations, How Things Came To Be and The Rabbit Hole.
I also care deeply about access. Through Innovation Fair Lagos and The Tros Initiative, as well as campus and tech communities like Google Developer Groups on Campus, NACOS, ATC Africa and Statistics Without Borders, I work around a simple conviction: “Talent exists everywhere, but access does not.”
Right now, I am continuing to build Valor AI, expanding my creative and web studios, and exploring new questions at the intersection of artificial intelligence, product strategy and human storytelling.
